P5 & P6 Chinese New Year Poster (Oil Pastel Blending)

For the next 2 weeks, we will be designing Chinese New Year posters. The following steps will guide you in your poster design.

1. Draw a box with the Chinese character "Spring" on it.

Position it on the top-right corner of the paper.

2. Draw "cylinders" at the bottom half of the paper.

These are the firecrackers.

3. Draw smoke clouds to show exploding firecrackers.

4. Draw the Title for the poster.

5. Colour the box by blending red, orange and light orange.

6. Colour the firecrackers by blending colours in the same family.

7. Outline the smoke clouds in grey.

8. Fill up the empty spaces with sparks by using various colours.

9. Paint the background using poster colour.

10. Paint the title and chinese character in black.
