P5 & P6 Deepavali Poster Design

1. Draw the lamp in the bottom half of the paper.

2. Add the design onto the lamp.
You can try out different shapes and patterns.

3. Add the flame above the lamp.

4. Fill in the designs using oil pastels.

5. Fill in the lamp using poster colour.
Use the blending technique.
The darker shade is at the bottom of the lamp.

6. Fill in the flame using poster colour.
Use the blending technique to create a "glowing" effect on the flame.

P6 LEGO Programme - Gardens by the Bay, SIngapore

Gardens by the Bay

1. Start building the tower from the base.

2. Build up the tower.

3. Place the 4 special bricks at the top.

4. Add the longer bricks to form the canopy.

5. Construct the sky bridge with the flat-type of bricks.

6. Build the second tower.
Add the 4 special bricks at the top. 

 7. Add the longer bricks to form the canopy.

8. Build more shorter towers.

Practice setting up the easel as shown in the photos above.
Turn the shiny metal rod in the centre upright.
Slot the two black metal clips into the metal rod.
Adjust the height of the easel accordingly.

1. Add dark green near the bottom of the leaves.

2. Blend light green with the dark green.

3. Add the details by gently dabbing your brush randomly with another shade of green.
Do the same for the bushes and grass.

P5 Lantern-Making Competition 2012

 1. Draw 2 columns on the sides
Draw a big star in the centre and a few small starts around it

2. Cut out the big star in the centre.

3. Turn to the back of the paper
Paste the yellow cellophane sheet on it by using glue

4. Trim the edges to make it look neat and tidy

5. Turn to the front of the paper.
Colour the stars using oil pastels.
Paint the background.

6. Roll up the paper as shown above
Use double-sided tape to stick the edges together

7. Cut a strip of paper and attached it to the top

2. Draw the title in block letterings
Draw the full moon

 3. Draw the boy and girl with their lanterns

4. Colour the lanterns using oil pastels
Use the blending technique
Ensure the colours belong to the same family

 5. Colour the title and full moon using oil pastels
Use the blending technique
Ensure that the colours belong to the same family


 6. Colour the the boy and girl using oil pastels
Use the blending technique
Ensure that the colours belong to the same family


7. Lastly, fill up the background with dark blue
